Metadata created using Minnesota Geographic Metadata Guidelines

Metadata Summary

Originator Minnesota DNR - MIS Bureau
Abstract These data files are a collection of the USGS standard DOQs that have been resampled to a 3-meter cell resolution and mosaiced into quad format vs quarter quad format and then projected to a common coordinate system (UTM Zone 15, NAD83 Datum). These data were developed from the need for fast mosaiced quadrangle data and standardized coordinate schemes and file formats.
Use Tips This data was deemed to be virtually indistinguisable from the 1-meter JPEG data down to a scale of about 1:6,000. At larger scales the image quality becomes noticably less. Click on this link to see a map showing the year each DOQ was taken: Map of DOQ Dates
Browse Graphic View a sample of the data.
Time Period of Content Date 1991
Currentness Reference These DOQs were derived from Air Photos taken in the spring of 1991 and 1992. Click on this link to see an map showing what DOQs were taken when: Map of DOQ Dates
